A memorial service for Ardena Perkins, 90, of Helena, will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1125 Springdale Road in Helena.
Brother Oscar Allen Jr. will deliver the memorial discourse.
A repast will follow at Kincaid Funeral Services of Helena-West Helena, 1164 Highway 49.
Ardena Marie Mosley Perkins was born Nov. 30, 1919 to Homer and Edna Mosley in Smyrna, Ga. She grew up in Harvey, Ill. She was baptized as a Jehovah's Witnesses in 1959 and began serving as a full-time evangelizer that year. She remained active until her death. In 1970, she and her husband, Allen Perkins, moved to Arkansas where they continued in faithful service to Jehovah at the Helena-West Helena congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Those that knew and loved her will truly miss the warmth and words of wisdom and encouragement that she generously shared with all she met.
Ardena Perkins died Tuesday, Jan.26, 2010 at Helena Regional Medical Center.
Her husband, both parents, a brother and two sisters, preceded her in death.
She leaves a brother, Walter Mosley of Michigan and his wife Mary; a sister, Lucille Mosley of Harvey; a host of other relatives; her loving caregiver of 17 years, Ruby Gould of Helena-West Helena, and a large family of spiritual sons, daughters and friends.
