Jimmy Douglas Chamness, 66, of Sarah, Miss. passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at Memphis.  Mr. Chamness was born March 29, 1945 in Helena to the late Artie Chamness and the late Oma Dexter Chamness.

He leaves a son, Douglas “Doug” Chamness (Becky) of Sarah; four daughters, Shelia Burton (Jack) of Russellville, Dana Reed (Kevin) of Helena, Kristy Inman (Chris) of Searcy and Jessica Stotts of Searcy; six grandchildren, Tisha Clark, Jimmy Eubanks, Kyle Burton, Jenna Reed, Jessica Inman and Chloe Inman; three sisters, Edith Caldwell (James) of Spring, Texas, Mary Lou Davis (LeRoy) of Cherokee Village and Christine Dawson of Williford; and four brothers, Fred Chamness (Ida Mae) of Manassas, Va., Mack Chamness (Carol) of Woodstock, Ga., Bill Chamness (Mary Anne) of Humbolt, Tenn. and Reuben Chamness (Trena) of Springhill, Fla.

His parents, his wife, Barbara Chamness, a sister, Bernice Chamness, brothers, David Chamness and Clyde Chamness and a granddaughter, Kia Samis preceded him in death.

Graveside services for Jimmy Chamness will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2,at Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Citizens.  Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Helena-West Helena.  Rev. Greg Hurt will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 North University Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207.

Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, West Helena, will direct services.
