Funeral services for Harry Leroy Henson, 88, of Poplar Grove will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Church of God in Marianna. Burial will be in the Marvell Cemetery. Brother J.E. Elliott, Brother Tony Pasley and Brother Kenny Ripper will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the Roller Citizens Funeral Home chapel.
Henson, born May 29, 1921 in Mississippi to the late Thomas Bates and Lelar Mae White Henson, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2009 at Helena Regional Medical Center.
He leaves three sons, Roy Henson and wife, Susie of Evening Shade, Daniel Henson and wife, Wanda of Poplar Grove and David Henson of Antioch, Calif.; two daughters, Peggy Ripper and husband, Harold Jr. of Marianna and Lou Ella Barboza of Maryville, Tenn.; a daughter-in-law, Sharon Henson of Brentwood, Calif.; three sisters, Ruby Bartlett, Nell Holland and Frances Mitchell; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Tom Henson, Tim Henson, Joe Henson, Jason Henson, Keith Fisher, Jay Graham, and Randon Greenway.
