Marie Elizabeth Schaffhauser Beith, 92, of Naylor Ark., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 17,2009. She was born in Marvell on March 19,1917. She was the daughter of the late Werner and Mary Martha (Leifer) Schaffhauser.
Marie was a member of Sharon Freewill Baptist Church of Naylor.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, James Phillip Beith, her parents, and four brothers, Calvin, Werner Jr., Frank and Albert Schaffhauser.
Her daughter, Mary Ann and her husband Claude Holt, Jr., of Naylor, survives her. She also leaves three grandchildren, Cheryl Shock and her husband, Bobby, Claude Holt, III and his wife, Rhonda, and Terry Ruple of Naylor; six great grandchildren; and 10 great great-grandchildren. A sister, Flora Belle Dubach of Marvell, plus many nieces, nephews and friends also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, June 19,2009 at Roller McNutt in Conway with Brother Ronnie Whitten officiating. Interment will be in Schaffhauser Cemetery in Marvell at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. before the service.
