An interment of ashes service for Bernice Brantley Malone Boyhan will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 17 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena.
Boyhan, 83, of Owasco, N.Y. died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009 at Lakeland, Fla. with her family by her side.
Bernice wintered at the Pioneer Park RV grounds for many happy years.
Bernice was born in Barton on July 23, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Annie Brantley. Husbands George Malone Jr., (who died in 1964) and Thomas E. Boyhan (who died in 1998) preceded her in death.
Bernice was a loving mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and Thomas Boyhan owned and operated Tom Thumb Drive-In from 1971 to 1978. She spent many years in her retirement traveling and camping across the country.
She leaves her children, George Malone III of Niles, N.Y. and his daughters, Carrie and Molly; Kathryn Masotto and her husband, Peter of Owasco, Jane Pysnack and her husband, Jack of Rochester, N.Y. and their children Thomas and Amanda; her stepchildren, Thomas C. Boyhan and wife, Janet of Everson, Wash., Kenne Edwards and her husband, Reginald of Spartanburg, S.C. and their children, Tamara and Scott, Michael P. Boyhan and his wife, Carol of Columbus, Ohio; and Michael's children, Heather, Kelly, Erin, and Adam; her sister, Clara Mae Edwards (who died March 15, 2009) of Kansas City, Mo.; a very special sister-in-law, Nancy Malone of Houston, Texas; and brother-in-law, Jerry Malone of Houston; several nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.
Bernice also leaves her companion of 9 years, Norman Vogt of Missouri. Brothers Ellis and Herbert Brantley and a sister, Rachael Haws, preceded her in death.
Five brothers-in-law, Paul E. Malone, Wallace G. Malone, Charles W. Malone Sr., James F. Malone Sr. and Donald L. Malone also preceded her in death.
The family requests that memorials be made to the local humane society or to the charity of one's choice
