Funeral services for Veola (R.V.) Brewster, 93, of Marvell will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 at the St. Matthew Baptist Church at Marvell. Rev. Harvie Gates will officiate. Burial will be in the Israel Chapel Cemetery at Turner. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight in the Robert Lee Brown Memorial Chapel.
A daughter, Jeannette Tabb and three sons Eugene, Herman and L.C. preceded her in death.
Brewster was born Nov. 20, 1916 in Jones Ridge to the late Will Walter and Minnie Ann Frazer. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age at the Branch Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to St. Matthews Baptist Church in Turner. She remained a faithful member until her health failed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five sons, Willie C., Roy, John (Helen) Delta, all of Marvell, Larry (Verlene) of Chicago; a sister, Teola Wilson of Turner; 38 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a special friend, Earlie Mae Brewster of Turner.
