Stephen Elmer Neff went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, July 23, 2018. He was born Jan. 28, 1955, in Fort Smith. He was an active member of Harvest Time Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hubert and Manila Neff and Sam and May Dalton; parents, Stella and Miles Neff; his brother, Sam Neff; sister, Susan Neff; and his first wife, Linda. He was a graduate of Northside High School and a retired employee of Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
Stephen leaves behind his loving wife, Remy Neff, of Fort Smith; two stepdaughters, Tiffany White and Davina Roper and husband Paul; as well as three grandsons, Caleb White and Sam and Alex Roper. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Lacey and her husband Jack; a nephew, Jay; a niece, Mandi Howe; and many other people he was proud to call friends and family. Stephen will be dearly missed by all who were touched by his kind disposition and generosity of spirit.
Stephen was a devoted and loving husband. Happiness was achieved simply by spending time with Remy. No greater joy came from just riding his bike with her, going to dinner with her or worshiping with her. They were a pair and belonged together. Stephen never met a stranger. He loved visiting with friends and talking about his many adventures. He loved to fish, hunt and won many bow and arrow contests. He loved talking about his red Jeep and his loyal dog, Gabriel. He especially enjoyed riding with his many friends on his bike. Even through his illness, he did not let it slow him down and he never, ever complained.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, 4817 Kelley Highway, Fort Smith. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Harvest Time Tabernacle with burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Conrado Balagtas, Scott Forsberg, Jim Berngen, John Piersing, Uncle Fudge and Perry Monnyham.
Memorials may be made to Harvest Time Tabernacle in Fort Smith.
