Dr. Jerry Ray Youker, 80, of Fort Smith died Saturday July 14, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was born Aug. 10, 1937, in Portersville, Calif. He was a retired physician, the former medical director of the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Talihina and a veteran of the U.S. Army Medical Corp as a flight surgeon. He was a member of the Evangel Temple Church in Fort Smith.

Funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith with full military honors. 

He is survived by his wife, Wilma; a daughter, Becky Barker of Pueblo, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Tresa Hackney of Maysville, Okla.; a son, Daniel Youker of St. Louis; two stepsons, Larry and Robbie Boren, both of Talihina; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Gray Baker, Jordan Mings, Dean Lanning, Ry Johnson, Kaleb and Dakota Boren and D.J. McGee.
