Service for Charles Edward “Ed” George, 89, of Roland will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Living Water Fellowship in Roland. Burial will follow at Roland City Cemetery in Roland under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Service Inc.

Mr. George was born Oct. 10, 1928, in Moffett, Okla., to Daisy Winfred Faulkner George and Clarence Otis George and passed away July 14, 2018, in Fort Smith. He was married to Helen Marie Wofford George on June 10, 1947, in Fort Smith. She preceded him in death. He was a retired supervisor for Felix Thompson Co.

Survivors are one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Mike Fouts of Van Buren; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Eddie and Judy George of Liberty and Stanley “Dick” George of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Geels, Jessica Strayer, Eric George, Dr. Kim Brunk, Sarah Fouts, Allison Armer and Madison Fouts; seven great-grandchildren, Tyler Geels, Julie Geels, Addilee Armer, Trey Brunk, Lincoln Strayer, London Strayer and Avah Armer; three sisters, Margaret Blaylock of Muldrow, Wanda Rogers of Roland and Carolyn Brunk of Redland, Okla.; one brother, Donald George of Springdale; several nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one son, Michael Ray George; and one brother, Eugene George.

Active pallbearers will be Eric George, Tyler Geels, Jason Geels, Dwight Strayer, Adam Armer and Dale Brunk. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Brunk and Lincoln Strayer.

Viewing will be 1-8 p.m. Monday at Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Muldrow, where the family will greet 6-8 p.m.
