Nova Jean (Johnson) Lowry, 85, died March 21, 2018, in Fayetteville. Nova was born Jan. 27, 1933, in Greenwood to Clarice and Riley Johnson. After she graduated, she moved to Kansas City where she worked with several of her siblings at Sealright Inc. for 23 years. Following, she lived in Dolph then moved back to Greenwood where she retired from Planters Peanuts after working there for 19 years.

Nova is survived by six children, Carol Eskridge, Sharon Attee, Clarence Lowry, Troy Lowry, Cheryl Reich and Donald Lowry; six grandchildren, Shelby, Starlette, Brandyn, Kaitlyn, George and Elizabeth; and four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Avery, Grayson and Emily.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Lowry; her mother and father; and four siblings, Kenneth, Eloise, Bernie and Nelda Mae.

Nova was loved and admired by all that knew her and will forever be remembered in the hearts of many.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery with Pastor Alan Davis officiating.
