At approximately 5:45 p.m. the Helena-West Helena Fire Department responded to a bomb threat at Wal-Mart located on the west side of Helena-West Helena on Shelia Drive.
Reginald Wilson, fire chief, reported that the film center at Wal-Mart received three separate calls with the threat.  The building was evacuated and the Helena-West Helena Criminal Investigative Division, both east and west side fire departments and Gloria Jones and her drug dog searched the building for the device.
Wilson said that the search took about two hours but no explosive device was found.
The Arkansas State Police also helped the search and will help the CID investigate the threat.
Wilson said the caller never indicated what sort of explosive device was in the building.
Wilson said that no caller identification was available to help with the investigation.  He said that it appeared an employee or former employee of Wal-Mart might have made the calls since the calls were made to a number that isn't readily known to the public.
No injuries were reported and Wal-Mart resumed its normal operations.
