Jesse Blakely at J.B's Spirit Shop at 113 Missouri St. reported an attempted break-in on July 4. The would-be intruder broke the drive in window and the lock on the front door but did not gain entry.
A man who lives in the 400 block of Miller reported to police last week that he discovered three windows were broken out on his van.
A woman who lives in the 1100 block of Cherry Street told police last week that her home was broken into and a 36-inch Sony TV, a 19-inch TV, earrings and a case of Cokes were stolen form her home.
Entry was gained through a window.
A man who live son Spruce Street reported to police that someone vandalized her vehicle by putting marks down the side of the Chevy Blazer.
A break-in was reported in the 200 block of Beech Street, A son reported that the front door glass was broken and entry was gained to house. A Sanyo 27-inch TV was stolen and the house was ransacked.
A woman who lives in the 1100 block of Cherry Street told police last week that someone shot the driver’s and passenger side windows out of her Oldsmobile Alero. When police arrived they observed that there were two bullet holes in the windshield and bullet holes in driver’s and passenger side windows.
FIRE REPORTS
Helena-West Helena firefighters had an extremely busy July 4th.
Saturday at 4:20 p.m. firefighters responded to a grass fire on Kelly Street. No damage was reported to any structures as a result of the fire.
At 7 p.m. Saturday, firefighters went to the home of James Brownlee at 111 North 5th Street.
Sunday morning at 12:42 firefighters were called to a vacant house fire at 127 South Baringo. The house was gutted by the blaze.
At 9:36 p.m. Saturday firefighters reported an animal rescue, but no details were available as to what kind of animal or what kind of rescue was made.
