An 18-year old Helena-West Helena teenager is charged with aggravated robbery and attempted aggravated robbery, after trying to rob Subway Tuesday night and robbing Big Time Rentals Wednesday afternoon.
Cordeearo “Cord” Baker, 18, was arrested after Helena-West Helena Police received a brief description of the robbery suspect.
On Wednesday afternoon around 1:30 p.m. a lone masked gunman entered Big Time Rentals on Sebastian Street and fired a round into a section of furniture. He demanded money and fled the store leaving through the back door on the North Second Street side of the store.
Police viewed tapes from both robberies and a resident who lives in the area gave police a description of the robber.
Officers arrested Baker around 3:45 p.m. He is in custody at the Phillips County jail on $100,000 bond for the attempted robbery of Subway. At press time, bond for the Big Time Rental robbery had not been set.
