Detective Lt. Roy Covington, head of the Helena-West Helena Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division, said the department is investigating three residential burglaries reported Monday, July 26.
The department also took a report of a vehicle stolen on South Street on July 23. Covington said the vehicle was recovered on Phillips County 218 Road near the National Guard Armory. Minor damage was reported to the vehicle.
Police made two arrests in connection with a fourth burglary that occurred July 24. A juvenile and Corwin Peck, 19, of Helena-West Helena were arrested.
Sheila Ford, 18, of Helena-West Helena was arrested and charged with domestic battery on July 25 after she allegedly attacked a Helena-West Helena man.
Three juveniles were arrested on July 25 and were charged with theft by receiving a defaced firearm.
Police are investigating an incident of criminal mischief and theft of property that happened at the Griffin Warehouse on the Highway 49 Bypass on July 23
