Four local men and a woman were arrested Thursday, July 22 when members of the 1st Judicial Drug Task Force and the Phillips County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at the residence of Juan Acosta at 110 Caney Creek Drive in Helena-West Helena.
Taken into custody were Acosta, 30, Danny Rodgers, 18, Bessie Mulkey 43, Joseph Nelson, 23, and Dale Nelson, 46.
All five are being held in the Phillips County jail on bonds of $100,000 each.
They are charged with manufacture of a controlled substance-methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, possession of pseudoephedrine with intent to manufacture methamphetamines.
While serving the search warrant officers are alleged to have discovered a working meth lab inside the house plus drug paraphernalia, Loracet, Xanex and Soma, which are all prescription drugs.
