Capital murder charges filed

A 16-year-old Helena-West Helena youth has been charged with capital murder in connection with the shooting death of Ambrose Germany of Little Rock that occurred Saturday, Nov. 28 at a residence on Short Mobile Street in Helena.
Germany was taken by helicopter to The Med in Memphis where he died early Sunday morning. Another Helena man, Marcus Hughes, was shot in the back with a pellet gun in the same incident and was treated at Helena Regional Medical Center and released.
Helena-West Helena Police would not disclose the location of the juvenile facility where the youth is being held.
The Criminal Investigation Division of the police department said this week that the shooting is still under investigation.
