H-WH man stabbed Friday

A 23-year-old Helena-West Helena man was taken to Helena Regional Medical Center after he received a severe cut in a stabbing incident, Friday, Aug. 20.
The stabbing incident occurred around 8:49 p.m. on the parking lot at the Circle N Convenience Store at the intersection of Sebastian Street and Quarles Lane. Deandre Green received a major cut under his upper arm during the incident.
Police officers were dispatched in reference to a disturbance call. When officers arrived at the scene they saw three black males involved in a physical confrontation. 
Officer Michael Thomas identified himself. The officer reportedly observed Markius Carpenter and Green continue arguing. As Green approached Carpenter police saw Carpenter put his right hand in his pocket and swing his right hand toward Green. Green said that he had been cut and blood was found on his right arm.
Police reported that they saw a small silver knife in Carpenter's right hand. They ordered him to drop it. Carpenter was taken into custody and Pafford transported Green to Helena Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Carpenter, who a lives at 344 Jerry St., is 19, has been charged with aggravated assault.
