Helena-West Helena police are investigating several residential break-ins that occurred in the city over the weekend.

Monday,
August 16

A break-in was reported Monday, Aug. 16 at a residence in the 1000 block of Walnut Street. Entry was gained through a bedroom window. No information was available on what was taken.

A break-in was reported Monday, Aug.16 at the Legal Aid Office at 402 Franklin St. Missing is a digital camera.

Osha Burrell, parks director, told police Monday, Aug. 16 that someone drove a vehicle through the fence and onto the Peewee baseball field at the North Helena Park.

A woman who lives in the 900 block of Miller Street reported to police Monday, Aug. 16 that four tires and rims were stolen off her Ford Explorer.

A Helena-West Helena man told police Monday, Aug. 16 that a chainsaw was stolen from a residence at 145 Cleburne where he had been working.
A man who lives in the 100 block of Coranza told police Monday, Aug.16 that a break-in occurred at the house next door to his.

Carl Scoggins of Helena reported his residence that was damaged by fire was broken into Monday, Aug. 16. Taken in the break-in was wiring and pipes. Holes were knocked in the walls and ceiling, the electrical cords were cut on TVs, appliances and the pipes to a central air conditioning unit.

A man who lives on Elm Street reported to police Monday that his residence was broken into and a 21-inch TV was stolen. The house was ransacked.

A woman who lives in the 800 block of East Cleburne reported a break-in at her residence on Aug.14. Missing is a large quantity of prescription medication, a DVD, a VCR, credit cards, Social Security cards and a DVD player.

Thursday,
August 12
Vandals extensively damaged rental property that belongs to Larry Delk at 201 Quarles Lane. The vandals almost demolished the building. The incident was reported Aug. 12.

Gerald Cornelius reported a break-in at a rental house at 717 Porter. The kitchen sink and copper pipes were taken. Entry was gained by kicking open the back door.
