Two Helena-West Helena men who escaped last week from the Phillips County Jail are back in custody.
Michael Murray turned himself in Monday morning to Phillips County Sheriff’s deputies.
The other escapee, Cortez Barefield, who escaped with Murray, was apprehended the next day after he escaped.
Murray was originally charged with residential burglary, theft of property, and possession of firearms by certain persons now faces additional charges of escape and criminal mischief.
Barefield is charged with escape in the second degree.
Murray and Barefield escaped last Tuesday through the air conditioning vent in the jail.
