Company closes on land for LR plant

Man Industries Ltd. has completed real estate purchases for a site in Little Rock where the company is to build a $100 million pipe manufacturing plant.
Mumbai, India-based Man Industries says construction will begin within the next few weeks. The factory was announced in March, and is to employ 250 people at its site at the Port of Little Rock.
The company also plans to use the site as its headquarters for its operations in North America and South America. Another 40 to 50 people will work at the headquarters.
Pipe made at the plant will be for the oil and gas industry.
