Christopher Dewayne Nixon
Christopher Dewayne Nixon, affectionately called “PIT”, was born on December 10, 1989 to Gerald Nixon and Denetra Williams in West Helena, Arkansas.
PIT’s academic gifts and talents were recognized at an early age. He was a 2008 honor graduate and valedictorian of Marvell High School. As a high school graduate, he remained excited about learning. Pit received prestigious scholarship to attend the college of his choice, University of Arkansas at Little Rock where he served as an ambassador, USGS Intern, and graduated December 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. His parents instilled in him the importance of faith, integrity, a strong work ethic, perseverance, a love of learning and a deep appreciation of life. He was very proud of his heritage and upbringing. His teaching helped him find courage and strength through his faith in Christ and was baptized in 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
While pursing his degree, he joined Manhattan Road & Bridge team. He felt fortunate to love his work. He was dedicated to his job, but his heart’s desire was to be an entrepreneur. His preparation was meticulous; his work ethic was exemplary and that helped him to independently open Nixon Automotive Wholesale, LLC. prior to graduating from college. He had great respect for all his customers and valued their relationship.
PIT was personable, had a great sense of humor and was genuinely interested in others. He was highly respected for his good judgment and sound advice. His upbringing taught him the value of gracious hospitality which he generously shared with his family and friends. His love of life was readily apparent when sharing a wonderful meal, traveling, shopping, or just having a good conversation.
