State approves Phillips County Detention Center Construction project

The 1st Judicial District Criminal Detention Facilities Review Committee announced the approval of the Phillips County Detention Center construction project in a letter written to the Honorable Clark Hall, Phillips County Judge, from the State of Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration Tuesday, July 31, 2018.

The Criminal Detention Facilities Review Committee convened with County Officials and the project design team partners on July 31, 2018. During the meeting, the project design, construction team provided a written narrative as well as a proposed floor plan.

The Criminal Detention Facilities Review Committee found the project plan was in congruent with Arkansas Criminal Detention Facility Standards.

The Criminal Detention Facilities Review Committee commended and applauds Judge Hall, and his fellow citizens work to bring about a new facility designed to bolster public safety operations and promote operational success. The Criminal Detention Facilities Review Committee expressed their appreciation for the work and service of Phillips County officials and citizens.
