The margaritas were flowing, there was dancing in the aisles and not a vacant seat at the recent tribute to Jimmy Buffett on stage at Woodlands Auditorium. Larry Pearson, founder and lead singer, brought the Bluffett and The Son Of A Sailor Band to Hot Springs Village for a night of memorable songs that were on point and celebrated by a sold-out audience.
Pearson has an amazing resemblance to the legendary Jimmy Buffett and his vocals seemed to transport you to “Margaritaville.”
“I’ve been doing this for over 20 years and it is great fun every single night. We’ve performed in every state except Hawaii, and took this tribute to Japan and the Bahamas several times,” said Pearson.
Beehive Neighborhood Hangout owners adorned patrons with leis and offered beach balls to toss across the theater. Cindi Erickson and Trisha Jones were on hand to greet everyone and start the party rolling.
The bartenders had their own challenge, distributing mega doses of margaritas and other cool beverages to thirsty partiers.
The performers played many of Buffett’s signature numbers, including “Sea Cruise,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Come Monday,” “Fins” and, of course, “Margaritaville.”
The merrymaking lasted long into the evening at the Woodlands, and closed with after-dinner desserts and libations at the Beehive.
