On a day the temperature gauge hovered around 100 degrees at Harbor Oaks Golf Club in Pine Bluff, Hot Springs Village resident Steve McGlynn was just as hot as he scored a hole-in-one on the par-3 13th hole.
Using an eight-iron for the 137 yard tee-shot, McGlynn said, “I thought I hit it too far. We all heard a clang and the ball landed right in the hole.”
McGlynn’s ace helped his team to a first-place finish in flight two of the 4-man, 2-best-ball tournament in the Garland County Seniors Golf Association Event, July 19. McGlynn’s teammates in the event were AC Watts, Butch Lorenz, and George Grauberger. The team recorded a -25 in the event.

Second place in flight one went to the team of Robert Pinson, Steven Shorts, Larry Hopper and Raymond Fugler  at -25.
