Hot Springs Village welcomed for the seventh consecutive year, Bumper to Bumper Parts Store corporate golf outing. The company was celebrating its 33rd tournament. Twenty-four states were represented from as far west as California and east to Connecticut.
Players practiced  at Ponce de Leon June 22. There were nearly 150 at Balboa shotgun round one on June 23, and Granada for final competition June 24. Format was a six-person scramble at Balboa and four-person scramble at Granada.
“We’re pleased to again come to Hot Springs Village for our 33rd anniversary golf outing. This is our seventh time here in HSV,” said Kenny Payne, marketing vice president and tournament director. “We support our staff and enjoy giving back to the communities and people we serve,” he said.
Payne said he was excited about the largest number of participants – not just for golf, which numbered about 150, but also nearly 40 at lakes fishing and another 30 who played bingo.
Twenty company volunteers provided beverages and snacks on the courses.
A large number of attendees were housed at the Arlington Hotel and bused to HSV. Company achievement awards were presented after dining at the Arlington with nearly 300 in attendance.
Flight winners were as follows: Flight 1, Brent Burnham, Gage Burnham, Ryan Barr and Ray Mohler; Flight 2, Austin Johnston, Bill Schlatterer, Steve Dresser and Kole Wallace; Flight 3, Fletcher Lord III, Ron White, Rusty Burnett and Bryan Jones; Flight 4, Ken Huggins, Bill Johnston, Mike Stallings and Rick Spugnardi.
Other winners included closest to hole No. 11, David Birks; closest to hole No. 8, Dean Schwingboth; longest putt overall on No. 3, Philip Gill; longest senior drive on No. 3, Buck Holloway; closest approach to No. 9, Mark Johns; closest to hole for seniors on No. 6, Buck Holloway; closest approach overall on No. 9, Mark Johns; closest hole senior on No. 6, Jim Murphy; longest drive mid-senior on No. 14, Bryan Jones; longest driver overall on No. 18, Gunnar Burnham.
Bumper to Bumper Parts Stores and Certified Service Centers are a part of the aftermarket auto parts alliance, one of the largest auto parts distribution networks in the world.
