Funeral services for Virginia Williams will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Zion Hill M.B. Church. Rev. Leroy Harper will officiate. Burial will be at New Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Brown's Funeral Home Chapel.
Virginia Williams was born on October 5, 1959, to the late Sandy Williams, Sr. and Lorean Somlar-Williams in Helena, Arkansas.
Virginia was a proud graduate of the Central High Class of 1977. After high school, Virginia attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
Virginia accepted Christ as her personal savior under the leadership of the late Rev. A.L. Woodson at an early age.
Virginia remained a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church until she received her heavenly call on May 21, 2018. Virginia proudly served as president of the Usher Board. She was secretary of the P.L.M.&D District Usher’s Board as well as a member of the Twin City Usher’s Board.
Virginia worked for many years as a home health aide.
Virginia married Elton Thomas on December 21, 1990.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sandy Williams, Sr. and Lorean Somlar-Williams, a brother, Sandy Williams, Jr., and a sister, Dorothy Lofton.
