Michael Neal Jordan was born in Lexa, Arkansas on February 1, 1955 to the late Sim and Ernestine Jordan. He was the ninth of their twelve children whom they loved and adored.
He confessed his hope in Christ and was baptized at a young age at Paradise Number 2 Missionary Baptist Church in Lexa, Arkansas. He joined Longley Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas where he served faithfully for many years. He served as a Greeter and was one of the first faces that many would see when entering the church.
Michael attended Anna Strong High School in Marianna, Arkansas. Post receiving his High School Diploma, he continued his education at Sears Roebuck and Company where he trained as an Auto Mechanic. Post receiving his Mechanic Certification, he pursued a dream of entrepreneurship and opened an auto mechanic shop which he named Quality Oil Change, located on Baseline Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. He proceeded to open two additional shops, creating a chain of Quality Oil Shops. Michael spent an immense amount of time working as a visionary, administrator, businessman, and mechanic.
Michael married Dorthula Thomas on April 12, 1976 in Rondo, Arkansas. He and his loving wife, Dorthula, proceeded to have two boys, Kevin Jordan and the late Kenneth Jordan. They all resided in Little Rock, Arkansas together.
Michael passed Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Chi St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
