Funeral services for Vernon Lee Felix will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at King Solomon M.B. Church. Rev. Cedric Pride will officiate. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Friday, May 18, 2018 at Brown's Funeral Home Chapel.
Vernon Lee Felix was born on December 29, 1964 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Louise Young.
He accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. P.L. Perkins at King Solomon M.B. Church where he served faithfully until he was called home.
Vernon was a proud graduate of Central High School Class of 1984. In 1992, he attended Crowley’s Ridge Technical Institute in Forrest City, Arkansas. In 1994, he graduated with a degree in Auto Body Repair.
Vernon loved working on cars and spending time with his daughter Maranda.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Louise Young, his step-father Curley Young, his brother Lenel Vaughn Jr., and his grandparents.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his only child, Maranda Felix of Helena, Arkansas, his brothers; Michael (Glenda) Hawkins of Kansas City, Missouri, Ronnie Carr of Little Rock, Arkansas, Vincent (Shavonna) Craig of West Helena, Arkansas, his sister; Leola Johnson of Helena, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
