The Hogs dropped the finale and the series to LSU 7-5 Sunday May 6 in Baton Rouge.

The Razorbacks gave up four runs to LSU in a big fifth inning and struggled to find their offense. Carson Shaddy had two hits, but the Hogs couldn’t come up with anything consistent. The Razorbacks haven’t won a series in Baton Rouge since 2004. The Tigers have won 13 of 14 series against Arkansas.

Razorback starter Isaiah Campbell looked good through the first three innings, holding the Tigers scoreless, but he wheels came off in the fourth inning, giving up five runs on six hits.

The Tigers recorded 13 hits, with six RBI from six different players.

The Razorback 1 through 4 hitters - Cole, Martin, Fletcher and Bonfield - finished a combined 0 for 14 with 2 strikeouts. Outside of a solo home run, the Hogs failed to move a runner into scoring position until the seventh inning. The Razorbacks hit 3 for 15 with runners on base and 0 for 9 with two outs.

Hog’ second baseman, Carson Shaddy, went 2 for 4 with a double in the sixth inning. Heston Kjerstad, who went 0 for 5 with 5 strikeouts last night, redeemed himself today, going 2 for 4 with a solo homer and 3 RBIs.

With the series loss, Arkansas fell to 5-10 on the year away from Baum Stadium and have now lost all four SEC road series.
