Helena Health Foundation is partnering with UAMS East, the Helena-West Helena Rotary Club and East Arkansas Family Health Center to implement “Healthy Smiles” project that will provide dental education and dental supplies to all kindergarten through sixth grade students in Phillips County.

The Foundation will provide all the funding for the project in order for each student to receive basic dental supplies and dental educational materials. The Healthy Smiles Project will be ongoing.

During the past 12 years, the Rotary Club and UAMS East have provided dental education and supplies to students in grades K-3. Funding by the Helena Health Foundation will allow the program to expand.

“Victor Juengel, chair of the board of directors of the Helena Health Foundation stated, “The Foundation is very pleased to partner with UAMS East, Rotary and the East Arkansas Family Health Center as the Healthy Smiles Project is implemented in the schools, especially in light of the great need for better and more dental care in the community.

“The mission of the Helena Health Foundation is to improve the quality of life in the community, and the Foundation and our partners feel that this project is vital to our children,” added Juengel.
