Prom is one of the most anticipated events of the year for high school students. There are tickets to buy, corsages to pin, memories to be made. Students spend weeks planning, decorating, and dreaming of that special night.

However, it is also one of the most expensive events. That's where the Pop-Up Prom Dress shop project comes in. Led by CHS EAST students Tiara Holder and Destiny Harrell, and Thrive graphic design residents, Candace Dolls and Sarah Melby, the project's mission is to allow every girl to experience prom, without the sticker shock.

The event is open to all junior and senior girls in the area. For the price of one non-perishable food item donation for the Little Food Pantries being built by fellow EAST students, you can shop their large selection of formal-wear to borrow free of charge this prom season.

The pop-up shop opens again this Saturday, February 17, from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Thrive 310 Cherry St, Helena, AR 72342.
