Graveside services for James Clayton Harper, 59, farmer, of Greenville, Mississippi will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 15 at Mulberry Cemetery in England,under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home of Greenville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m, Thursday, Dec.14, at Mortimer Funeral Home, 711 Highway 82 East, Greenville.
He died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, in Greenville. He was born Sept. 10 1958 in Little Rock, the son of Paul James Harper and Doris Killough Harper.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves four children, Candace Harper Perry (Brady) of Rogers, Mary Elizabeth McConnell (Mark) of Athens, Georgia, Hillary Coleman (William) of Helena, and James Clayton Harper, Jr. of Greenwood; a sister, Paula Sanders of Greenville; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers are: Innes McIntyre, Ricky Belk, Bill Howe, Harper Ross, Joe Dan Robinson, Larry Coleman, and Tommy Pittman.
Honorary pallbearers are: Hayden Stewart, Harden Stewart, Harland Stewart, Jeff Hale, Tony Cox, John Moyer, and Joe Robinson.
