Five shots rang out breaking the peaceful silence in mid-town Helena around 1 p.m. Thursday.

The incident reportedly occurred near the intersection of York and Beech streets.

Details of the shooting are sketchy at this time. It is reported that at least one person was injured. Memphis, Tennessee television station WREG Channel 3 identified the victim as Jimmy Lee Ross, 30. He was reportedly taken to Helena Regional Medical Center in a private vehicle. He was later transferred to a Memphis hospital. His condition was listed as non-critical.

Two suspects are being sought by police in connection with the shooting. Local law enforcement officials believe the suspects were in a green Nissan Maxima.

Channel 3 also reported that another possible drive-by shooting occurred in the same area on Wednesday but no injuries were reported.
