Funeral services for George Harmon, Sr. will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Trinity Baptist Church, 1807 Stringtown Road, Helena, AR.  Rev. Jasean Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Jackson Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Brown's Chapel.  Active Pallbearers are Michael Maxwell, Carlos Harmon, Michael Harmon, Jr., Andrew Chestnut, Jr., Chris Harris, and Curtis Harmon.

George Harmon was born in Louisville, Mississippi on May 29, 1936 to the late Nannie Lou and George Washington Harmon.

He confessed to Christ at an early age at Old Jerusalem in Wabash, Arkansas.

He is preceded in death by his mother Nannie Lou, father George, brothers: Robert, Q C, and Roosevelt Harmon, sister Iola Harmon Duckworth and son Fredrick Herman.

He leaves to cherish his life memories a supportive ex-wife Earnestine Harmon children;  Martha Harris,  Linda (Barney)Harris,  Jacoqulin Harmon, and Debra (Ivory) Hunter, George Harmon Jr., Michael Harmon, Dexter Harmon and Calvin Harmon of West Helena, AR; Debbie Mobley and Sharon Williams of Riverdale, GA; Benita (Calvin) Page of Canton, MS, Karen Harmon-Barber of Conway ,AR; Sharonda (James) Jones of Bloomington, IN;  Anthony Mathews of Madison AL , and Corey Randle of lake Havasu City of AZ; One brother, J D Harmon of Saginaw, MI; four sisters; Annie Lou Davis of East St. Louis, Il, Elizabeth Evans of Canyon Country, Ca; Christine Goldsberry, Mattie Johnson, and Idella Speed of Saginaw, MI.  Fifty-eight grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
