Helena-West Helena Police are investigating a strange shooting incident that landed two children in a Memphis hospital Monday.

Helena-West Helena Police are investigating a strange shooting incident that landed two children in a Memphis hospital Monday.

Memphis television station WREG reports that H-WHPD officers are still attempting to determine if the shooting was intentional or accidental.

Police say four boys, ranging in age from 12 to 18, were riding around in car when the incident occurred. Two of the youngsters were transported to LeBonheur Children's Hospital. They are expected to fully recover.

No arrests have been made. Investigators have been unable to determine who the owner of the gun is,

Reports indicate the incident took lace at approximately 5:30 p.m. However, the investigation has not been able to determine exactly where or how things transpired.

Police interviewed those involved at Helena Regional Medical Center before they were transferred to the Memphis hospital.

Police have not determined as to whether or not any gang activity was involved in the shooting.
