Farm Bureau Insurance has announced the watch lists for the 2017 Farm Bureau Insurance Awards for the Arkansas high school gridiron season. Three Phillips County players and a coach have been selected to that watch list.

Farm Bureau Insurance has announced the watch lists for the 2017 Farm Bureau Insurance Awards for the Arkansas high school gridiron season. Three Phillips County players and a coach have been selected to that watch list.

The annual Farm Bureau Insurance Awards recognize the state high school's top offensive and defensive player and coach of the year from each classification. Members of Hooten's Arkansas Football Magazine picks three finalists in each category.

Those 45 finalists and their families are invited to attend the Farm Bureau Insurance Awards on Dec.11.

"This list of players includes some of the finest student athletes in our state, and Farm Bureau Insurance wishes each of them continued success the rest of the season," commented David L. Moore, senor vice-president – state manager for Southern Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Co. "Farm Bureau is proud to honor excellence as the title sponsor of this event."

Phillips Countians on the Watch List are: Terrance Calhoun, 4A defense, Helena; Justin Redmon, 4A defense, Helena; Bradley Smith 3A defense, Barton; and Clark McBride, coach, Barton.
