If you drive through the Central High School campus, you will notice that all of the windows have been removed from the main structures in the downhill campus. Stakes outlining the rough area where demolition and dirt work will take placed have been driven into the ground. Doors have been removed and you can see through the building while standing outside.

During the campaign for the passage of the property tax to fund the construction of the new high school facilities, the Helena-West Helena School Board personally promised to keep the public updated of the progress on the project, which is still on schedule to open in August 2019.
