Funeral services for Sadie Mae Anderson, 67, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday Sept. 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church M. B. Church.  



Rev. Derrick Hughes will officiate.  



Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens near Lexa.



Visitation will be 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday in Stephens Funeral Home Chapel.



​Sadie Anderson was born Sept. 26, 1949 in Helena, to Jesse and Elizabeth Speed. She gave over 25 years of service to Helena Chemical Industries.  She was proceeded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Speed, U.S. Army veteran, retired, her husband, Isaac Anderson, Jr., and her children, Verdell Anderson, Raymond Anderson, and Gary Anderson. 



She departed this life on Sept.19, 2017 in Helena.  



She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Michael Speed, U.S. Air Force veteran and Masonic Fraternal Order (Kimberly Dendy-Speed) and family of Grapevine Texas, Sherman (Valorie) Anderson of Newport News, Virginia; a daughter, Anita (Michael) Hoskins of Helena; a stepdaughter, Brenda (Charles) Clayton of Jacksonville; three sisters, Mamie (Clarence) Thornton of South Haven, Mississippi, Elizabeth (Edward) Swopes, Sr. of Helena and Sharion Speed of Chicago, Illinois;  six brothers, Robert Speed, Clarence Speed of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Earnest (Francise) Speed of Chicago, Curtis Speed, Levi Speed, Winston Speed, all of Helena; 14 grandchildren, Antonius D. Speed (U.S. Navy veteran), Candace “Genie” Williams, Robyn M. Speed, Damian “Bo” Hoskins, Jordan M. Speed, Kyle J. Dendy, Kennedy A. Dendy, Ashley Anderson, Raymond Anderson Jr., Alexis Anderson, K’v’unnia Chambers, Keyshawn Anderson Hezekiah Hope and Elysha Hope; four great-grandchildren, Luna Jewel Speer, Jaylen J. Otis, Caleb J. Henry, Morgan M. Henry; a special Aunt, Vercie Lee Boyce, of Russellville; and a host of loving family and dear friends.



Services were entrusted to Stephens Funeral Home.
