Katrina Lynnette Watson, 39, of Lexa, passed away at her home Sept. 8, 2017.

Katrina was born March 9, 1978.   She attended the Helena-West Helena school district and graduated from Central High School in 1996.

She married Bobby Redmon and to this union two children were born, Kirsten Symone and a second daughter, Bre’dajah Shanice, who preceded her in death.  She was a loving mother, a caring daughter and a devoted sister.  She had a way of making people laugh with her gestures and expressions and she could make you fat with her baking.

Katrina was a very active member of her church, Watson Temple COGIC.  She was the minister of music, a Sunday School teacher, and a praise leader.  She was also a major participant of the Helena West Helena district for the churches.  She was a very close assistant to her father, the pastor.  Although she encountered many obstacles she never lost her faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother and father, David Watson and Malinda Watson; two sisters, Angela Watson and Christina Dixon (Travis); two brothers, Timothy Watson and Christopher Lovelady; and a daughter, Kirsten Symone Redmon.  She also leaves a grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, her godmother Dwindy Bedford, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Watson Temple COGIC, Highway 49, Lexa. The final public viewing will also take place at the church 10 a.m., Saturday morning with the funeral following at 11. The Prelate of Arkansas 1st Jurisdiction, Bishop Jewel R. Withers, Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
