KJIW-FM 94.5 of Helena, was awarded the Arkansas Broadcasting Association "Outstanding Production Small Market Radio" award. Most of the Mondy family was on hand at the convention and awards banquet.

Also receiving the Arkansas Broadcasters Association "Arkansan of the Year" award was Arkansas United States Senator John Boozman.

Elijah Mondy, owner of KJIW-FM said he was very surprised after the banquet when Senator Boozman came over to our table to meet his family and fellowship with them.

“He is a very gracious and humble man,” said Mondy. “There was something that we had in common that brought him over to meet us and that was, 'The Lord.' Senator Boozman was impressed with our jingle "The Lord's Radio Station. I was impressed with his background and history that he shared with us.”
