For generations, children have enjoyed the enchanting tale of “Beauty and the Beast.” At Tuesday's Phillips County Library Summer Reading Program, the Hampstead Stage Co. performed the story before a group of children that were held spellbound by the play that featured several costume changes. Next week (June 23), Shawna Adams with the National History Educational Company of the Mid-south will present a program entitled, “Community Under the Canopy.” The summer reading programs are held each Tuesday during the month of June at 9 a.m. at the Phillips County Library in Helena; 11 a.m. at the Elaine Community Center and 1 p.m. at the Marvell Library.
