Funeral services for Courtney Craig, 29, of Helena-West Helena will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 10 at Second Baptist Church. Rev. Jarvis Smith will officiate. Interment will be in Jackson Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 9 at Second Baptist Church.
Courtney Craig was born July 4, 1987 to Lawrence and Mittie Craig in Helena-West Helena. He was the fourth of six children.
Courtney attended school in the Helena-West Helena School District. He enjoyed rabbit hunting with his father and uncles, Bobby and Hurk. He enjoyed being around his family and friends. His greatest joy was the birth of his daughter, S’Riyah.
Courtney was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mittie Craig, his grandparents, Barney and Mary Hardison, and Katherine Jackson.
Courtney made his transition from sunrise to sunset on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Helena Regional Medical Center in Helena.
Courtney leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, S’Riyah Newsome of Helena-West Helena; four brothers, Lamaris (Erica) Mitchell of Southhaven, Mississippi, Tyris Craig of Helena-West Helena, Lawrence (Kimberly) Craig of Jonesboro, Quinton Bell of Memphis, Tennessee; a sister, Latoya Craig of Helena-West Helena; two stepbrothers, Devin Williams and Terrell Williams; two stepsisters, Tiarra Jackson and Antiesha Jackson of Helena-West Helena; his grandfather, Lawrence Craig of Grand Rapids, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
