Torin Marie Davidson-Lewis, 60, of Little Rock and former longtime resident of Helena-West Helena, went to be with the Lord April 15, 2017.

Torin Marie Davidson-Lewis, 60, of Little Rock and former longtime resident of Helena-West Helena, went to be with the Lord April 15, 2017.

Ms. Lewis was born Sept. 4, 1956, in Holly Grove, to the late William Arnold “Pleas” Davidson and the late Freddie Mae Nunn-Davidson.

Torin is a 1974 graduate of Helena-West Helena Central High School. She was employed by the State of Arkansas Office of Child Support Services for 18 years until retirement. She also worked as a PBX operator for Holiday Inn Hotel/ Crown Plaza Hotel. She served on Arkansas State Independent Living Council.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Torin leaves cherish her memory, a son, Lejustes Deon Davidson Sr.; a grandson, Lejustes Deon Davidson Jr.; 8 sisters, Mary Upchurch (Al) of St Louis, Missouri, Virginia Ross (Alvin) of Garland, Texas, Denise “Gail” McCoy (James)and Felicia Davidson of Little Rock, Valerie Branscomb (Terry) of Memphis, Tennessee and Sandra Ivy (Dimetri) of Arlington, Texas, Ruby Harris of Little Rock and Paula Davidson of Kansas City, Missouri; 6 brothers, John Nunn (Ella) of Holly Grove, Ira Joe Nunn ( Shirley) of Porter, Oklahoma, Tenolia Davidson (Carlene) of Detroit, Michigan and Fred Davidson of Little Rock, Gregory Davidson and Oscar Roberts of Kansas City, Missouri; aunts, Bertha Nunn of Maumelle and Rose Nunn of Kansas City Missouri; special friends, Edward Eskiridge, Micki Poteet, Sneha and Eric Odom, Marva Pruitt; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, co-workers and friends.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 21 at the Second Baptist Church at 1701 John Barrow Road in Little Rock. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, April 23 at the First Missionary Baptist Church in Holly Grove. Reverend William Black will officiate.
