The Helena-West Helena Central Cougars (5-2, 3-1) scored on an 88-yard kickoff return by Edward McGee to start the game and never looked back to cruise to a 47-19 win over the Lonoke Jackrabbits (1-6, 1-3).

After McGee's return with 11:45 to go in the first quarter and Tyler Sheard's PAT to make it 7-0, the Cougars forced a turnover on downs when Lonoke gambled on a 4th down at the CHS 46.

Following an exchange of punts, the Cougars made it 14-0 when Malik Moore scored on a 4-yard touchdown run with 3:42 to go in the first quarter to cap off a 10-play, 73-yard drive. Sheard's PAT made it 14-0 in favor of Helena-West Helena.

The Jackrabbits got on the board with 10:51 to play in the second quarter when Dylan Smith scored on a 4-yard run to cap off a 14-play, 70-yard drive.  Mario Reyes kicked the PAT to cut the lead to 14-7.

Helena-West Helena answered on the ensuing possession when quarterback Jordan Watson found Eddie Evans wide open for a 25-yard touchdown pass on a 4th and 5 play with 8:05 to go in the half. Sheard's PAT made it 21-7.

Lonoke failed on a 4th and 11 from the Cougar 41 on the next possession.  The Cougars went 58 yards in four plays and scored on a 25-yard run by Watson with 2:22 remaining in the half.  THE PAT failed, making the score 27-7.

After Lonoke had to punt on their next possession, the Cougars got a 35 -yard pass from Watson to Keeton Calvin to cap off a 48-yard drive that took four plays and only 30 seconds.  The PAT failed with 4.7 seconds to go in the half, giving Helena-West Helena a very comfortable 33-7 lead at the intermission.

The Cougars scored the first points of the second half with 8:51 to go in the third quarter.  Moore scored on a 9-yard run to cap off a 4-play, 66-yard drive.  The PTA failed leaving the lead at 39-7.

Helena-West Helena forced a Lonoke punt on the ensuing possession.  On 4th down, the Cougars had a special teams miscue and snapped the ball over the head of the punter, giving the Jackrabbits the ball at the 1-yard line.  Three plays later, Daniel Seigrist scored with 3:18 to go in the third.  The 2-point try failed, making the score 39-13.

The Cougars fumbled a lateral on the next possession and Isaac Toney scooped it up and ran 34 yards for the score to cut the lead to 39-19.  The try for two failed with 2:31 to go.

Lonoke recovered the onside kick, but fumbled it back to Helena-West Helena on the second play of the ensuing possession.  The Cougars went 51 yards on six plays.  Watson scored on a 9-yard run with 11:55 to go.  Moore ran in the 2-point conversion to make it 47-19, which was the final.
