A Helena -West Helena man faces multiple charges after Sgt. Edwin Lams and Cpl. Margaret Koss apprehended the suspect when they answered a disturbance call in the area of South Ninth Street.
Police with outstanding felony warrants took Edmond Reese, 31, into custody.
Reese is charged with three counts of battery in the first degree, committing an act of terrorism and possession of a firearm by certain persons.
He allegedly was involved in two separate incidents in which people were shot, one that happened in April on Helen Street in West Helena, where Brian Hart and Cedric Franks were allegedly shot by Reese. The other incident occurred on Center Street in December 2009, where Rico Anderson also was reportedly shot by Reese.
The case was turned over to Criminal Investigation officers, who said that all of the shooting victims have recovered.
Reese is being held in the Phillips County Jail on a $340,000 bond.
