The artistic works of two Delta Cultural Center employees will be the focus of separate exhibits as the museum commemorates Black History Month.
“The Art of Howard Newsome: With Pen and Paper” celebrates the work of long-time DCC docent Howard Newsome. “Photography of Carla Roy: Snapshots of the Blues” collects a number of photographs of performers by Carla Roy, DCC business operations specialist.
The works of both artists are represented by large-scale digital prints on display Wednesday, Feb. 1, through Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the DCC Visitors Center at 141 Cherry St. A reception in honor of the artists will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at 5-7 p.m. Admission is free and the public is welcome.
