Fundraising dinner planned

Church of the Living God, 1929 N. 13th St. in Fort Smith, will host a fundraising dinner from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. The menu includes barbecue chicken wings or fried chicken wings with baked beans, corn on the cob and a drink. Cost is $9.

Special musical service slated

Steve and Sandy Strohl will lead a special musical service titled "Lifting Our Hearts in Worship and Praise" at 11 a.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church, 2301 Midland Blvd. The Strohls, now retired, have led music ministries in Arkansas, Illinois and Mississippi. Veterans in all branches of the service also will be recognized.

Veterans set to be honored

Military veterans, both past and present, will be honored during the worship services at 9:01 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 1110 S. 12th St.

Singing, yard sale planned

Cameron Gospel Lighthouse will hold its monthly singing at 7 p.m. Thursday at the church, 15519 Hill St. in Cameron. The public is invited.

The church also will host a yard sale beginning at 8 a.m. June 2 at the church. Proceeds from the yard sale will help pay for a youth trip to Branson, Mo.

Church to celebrate pastor, wife

Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the 11th anniversary of Pastor Jerry Jennings with an event in honor of his wife, Terry Jennings, at 11 a.m. June 2 in the Norman H. McGill fellowship hall at the church, 4503 Young St. in Fort Smith. Pastor Jennings will be honored during worship services at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. June 3. Evangelist M.D. Wise will speak at the 11 a.m. service, and St. James Missionary Baptist Church Pastor Paul Davis will speak at the 3 p.m. service.
