Event celebrates nurses

The 10th annual Nurses of Faith nurses' prayer breakfast will be held from 8:30-10 a.m. today at Golden Corral, 1801 S. Waldron Road, in honor of National Nurses Week. The event is open to all active, inactive and retired registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and advanced practice nurses. The program is free, and the breakfast will be available to purchase.

Dr. Carolyn Mosley, professor and dean of the College of Health Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith will be the guest speaker. Louise Rogers and Sue Rusher, both LPNs, will present the visual devotion called Fruit of the Spirit.

Bike rally to follow service

The Rev. Howard Raney will speak at the 9:01 a.m. worship service Sunday at Evangel Temple Assembly of God, 1110 S. 12th St., and pastor Don Hutchings will speak at the 10:45 a.m. service Sunday. The River Valley Thunder Bike Rally and Car Show will follow the latter worship service at noon, followed by the second annual Dino Hutchings Memorial Ride.
