  • Four black males approached a female at her College Street residence asking her for a cigarette. In the blink of an eye one of the suspects put a gun to her head and ordered her to open the door to her home.
According to Helena-West Helena Police reports, officers were dispatched to the scene of the home invasion around 12:30 a.m. on August 19. The woman told police that she began to yell and scream when a man in a black mask pointed the gun at her. At that point, another intruder kicked in the door to the house and all four rushed inside.
The report went on to state that the gunman put the gun in the face of the woman’s grandmother and ordered her to get out of the way. Once inside, the intruders proceeded to ransack the house.
One of the suspects, the report says, took a Dell laptop computer. Shortly after, the intruders left the residence and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The report states that the case was turned over to H–WHPD’s Burglary, Robbery and Auto Theft Division for additional investigation.
