  • The official announcement for the 29th annual King Biscuit Blues Festival line-up took place on the main stage Tuesday evening as blues fans gathered for the news.  Linda Broome, executive director of the KBBF told guests that this year's festival will offer a one-day pass for $30 and weekend passes for $50.  The line-up features artists from a variety of backgrounds and blues styles.  Even local musicians will take to the stage for a weekend of music from Oct. 9-11.
    Thursday, Oct. 9’s line-up includes D.R. Diamond & Birthright Blues Project, Marcus "Mookie" Cartwright, Sonny Burgess, Eric Hughes Band, Sterling Billingsley Band, Billy Branch and the Sons of Blues, Guitar Shorty, Jimmy Hall and West Willie, and Sonny Landreth and Roy Rodgers.
    Friday's line-up includes the Dylan Doyle Band, the Peterson Brothers, L.C. Ulmer, Kevin Purcell & the Nightburners, Louis "Gearshifter" Youngblood, Mississippi Spoonman featuring Spoonfed Blues, Richard "Rip Lee" Pryor, C.W. Gatlin Band, Funky Butt Brass Band, Wampus Cats, Nora Jean Bruso Band, Bobby Rush, Earnest "Guitar" Roy, Toronzo Cannon, Reba Russell, Kirk Fletcher Band, Anson Funderburg & the Rockets, Paul Thorn, and Delbert McClinton.
    Saturday's line-up features Essie The Blues Lady, Leo "Bud" Welch, Zakk Knight Band, Scott Kirby, Paul Rischell & Annie Raines, Lil Biscuit Band, Eb Davis, Sonny Rhodes, W.C. Clark Band, Jack Rowell Jr., Papa Don McMinn, Kenny "Beedy Eyes" Smith Band, Bob Margolin and Bob Stroger, Matt Schofield, Andy T & Nick Nixon, James Cotton, and Jimmy Vivino & The Black Italians.
